So, I asked the Prophet (p.b.u.h) about it. 03 - Muhammad [SAW] - Revelation And The Reaction Intro

The time preceding the prophethood of Muhammad saw was a time of darkness, humanity was in dire need of guidance, Rasullullah saw used to spend long periods of time in the cave of hira, nabi saw will be sitting in that small tight cave sighting the Khabah from far and contemplating, wondering, what’s behind life, who is behind this world, can it make sense that people are worshipping idols, they make it with their own hands and then they prostrate to it, that does not make sense, there must be greater than that idols, there’s got to be someone greater than this earth, it’s got to be that’s greeter than this, it’s got to be someone greater than all this and the prophet saw will continue to contemplate and think and think and think, one day he was visited by the angel Jibril as, Jibril as came to Muhammad saw in his original form, so the prophet Muhammad saw would shiver and get scared, who is this, what do you want from me,

Narrater: (Ibn Umar) Hadidth No: (563)

The Prophet had forbidden the sale of dates till they were good (ripe), and when it was asked what it meant, the Prophet said, ''Till there is no danger of blight.''

Al-Quran- Sura No(12), Ayat(68)

And when they entered in the manner which their father had enjoined, it would have naught availed them as against Allah; it was but a need of Jacob's soul which he thus satisfied; and lo! he was a lord of knowledge because We had taught him; but most of mankind know not.

Al-Quran- Sura No(12), Ayat(67)

And he said: O my sons! Go not in by one gate; go in by different gates. I can naught avail you as against Allah. Lo! the decision rests with Allah only. In Him do I put my trust, and in Him let all the trusting put their trust.

Narrater: (Abu Huraira) Hadidth No: (562)

Dates used to be brought to Allah's Apostle immediately after being plucked. Different persons would bring their dates till a big heap collected (in front of the Prophet). Once Al-Hasan and Al-Husain were playing with these dates. One of them took a date and put it in his mouth. Allah's Apostle looked at him and took it out from his mouth and said, ''Don't you know that Muhammad's offspring do not eat what is given in charity?''

Al-Quran- Sura No(12), Ayat(66)

He said: I will not send him with you till ye give me an undertaking in the name of Allah that ye will bring him back to me, unless ye are surrounded. And when they gave him their undertaking he said: Allah is the Warden over what we say.

Narrater: (Abu Said Al-Khudri) Hadidth No: (561)

The Prophet said, ''There is no Zakat on less than five Awsuq (of dates), or on less than five camels, or on less than five Awaq of silver.'' (22 Yameni Riyals Faransa).

Narrater: (Salim bin Abdullah from his father) Hadidth No: (560)

The Prophet said, ''On a land irrigated by rain water or by natural water channels or if the land is wet due to a near by water channel Ushr (i.e. one-tenth) is compulsory (as Zakat); and on the land irrigated by the well, half of an Ushr (i.e. one-twentieth) is compulsory (as Zakat on the yield of the land).''

Al-Quran- Sura No(12), Ayat(65)

And when they opened their belongings they discovered that their merchandise had been returned to them. They said: O our father! What more can we ask? Here is our merchandise returned to us. We shall get provision for our folk and guard our brother, and we shall have the extra measure of a camel load. This that we bring now is a light measure.

Al-Quran- Sura No(12), Ayat(64)

He said: Can I entrust him to you save as I entrusted his brother to you aforetime? Allah is better at guarding, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

Narrater: (Abu Humaid As-Sa'idi) Hadidth No: (559)

We took part in the holy battle of Tabuk in the company of the Prophet and when we arrived at the Wadi-al-Qura there was a woman in her garden. The Prophet asked his companions to estimate the amount of the fruits in the garden, and Allah's Apostle estimated it at ten Awsuq (One Wasaq = 60 Sa's) and 1 Sa'= 3 kg. approximately). The Prophet said to that lady, ''Check what your garden will yield.'' When we reached Tabuk, the Prophet said, ''There will be a strong wind to-night and so no one should stand and whoever has a camel, should fasten it.'' So we fastened our camels. A strong wind blew at night and a man stood up and he was blown away to a mountain called Taiy, The King of Aila sent a white mule and a sheet for wearing to the Prophet as a present, and wrote to the Prophet that his people would stay in their place (and will pay Jizya taxation.) (1) When the Prophet reached Wadi-al-Qura he asked that woman how much her garden had yielded. She said, ''Ten Awsuq,'' and that was what Allah's Apostle had estimated. Then the Prophet said, ''I want to reach Medina quickly, and whoever among you wants to accompany me, should hurry up.'' The sub-narrator Ibn Bakkar said something which meant: When the Prophet (p.b.u.h) saw Medina he said, ''This is Taba.'' And when he saw the mountain of Uhud, he said, ''This mountain loves us and we love it. Shall I tell you of the best amongst the Ansar?'' They replied in the affirmative. He said, ''The family of Bani-n-Najjar, and then the family of Bani Sa'ida or Bani Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj. (The above-mentioned are the best) but there is goodness in all the families of Ansar.''

Narrater: (Abu Huraira The Prophet said) Hadidth No: (558)

''No doubt, it is better for a person to take a rope and proceed in the morning to the mountains and cut the wood and then sell it, and eat from this income and give alms from it than to ask others for something.''

Al-Quran- Sura No(12), Ayat(63)

So when they went back to their father they said: O our father! The measure is denied us, so send with us our brother that we may obtain the measure, surely we will guard him well.

Al-Quran- Sura No(12), Ayat(62)

He said unto his young men: Place their merchandise in their saddlebags, so that they may know it when they go back to their folk, and so will come again.

Narrater: (Abu Huraira Allah's Apostle said) Hadidth No: (557)

''The poor person is not the one who goes round the people and ask them for a mouthful or two (of meals) or a date or two but the poor is that who has not enough (money) to satisfy his needs and whose condition is not known to others, that others may give him something in charity, and who does not beg of people.''
